About the event
Come and join this fun and relaxed workshop to learn all about the time-honoured preservation technique of fermentation.
This is a hands-on practical course in which you will learn about wild fermenting using local seasonal ingredients. You will try two different techniques, wet and dry fermenting, and take home two delicious ferments you have made on the day. You will also learn a great skill to help you reduce food waste and enjoy delicious and nutritious food in the middle of winter. There is nothing more satisfying than a shelf of homemade delights waiting to be enjoyed.
As a nutritionist I will also discuss the multitude of health benefits of this delicious food as well as exploring the Gut Microbiome and why it is so important to our health. It maybe one of the most important factors in maintaining good physical and mental health.
